Index Cards

Think of Index Cards on steroids. Unlike physical index cards, these can be whatever size you need them to be. And each card is a RTF file which means you can format the fonts and paragraphs as you wish. Having the information in electronic form makes it easy to search, and find, whatever tidbit you are looking for. Let your imagination run free. The possible uses for this program are almost endless. Create an ebook. Catalog your CDs. Organize your recipes. Create flash cards as a study tool. Make a How-To manual. Write a play. Create a Web Site file, where each card has the web site URL, user name, passwords, support URLs and phone numbers, email addresses, and anything else pertinent to that web site.

You get two programs, IndexCards to create an index card file, and IndexRead to read the index card files. Feel free to distribute IndexRead along with the files you create. The included help file gives instructions for usage, but to give you a feel for what the program will do:

Font Format: Bold, Italic, Underline, Name, Size, Color
Paragraph Format: Left, Center, Right, Indent

If you downloaded ICBasic from the Freebies page, then you already have a copy of the reader, along with a copy of Titus Andronicus for both the full and basic versions. Comparing the two should prove very instructive. As with all my programs, the programs are portable and can be placed anywhere including on removable media.
